Uniform
Our School uniform helps to give an identity and the children a sense of pride in our School.
It also avoids the “What do I wear today?” question.
Only book bags may be purchased from the School with all the rest of the uniform available on-line (see link below) or through visiting the Beats Uniform Shop in Hitchin.
The School colour is blue.
Boys:
- Grey trousers/shorts
- Blue school sweatshirt with the Southill logo
- White polo shirt
- Grey socks
Girls:
- Grey skirt or grey pinafore or grey trousers or grey shorts
- Blue school sweatshirt with the Southill Logo
- White blouse/polo shirt
- Grey or white socks
- Dresses in check blue/white for the summer
All skirts and dresses must be knee length and provide appropriate dignity. Shorts, even when worn over tights, should be of an appropriate length.
PLEASE MARK ALL CLOTHING AND POSSESSIONS CLEARLY and encourage your child to dress him/herself from an early age, even though it takes them a little longer than with your help.
P.E. Games Kit
Children need the following items:
- Black Shorts
- White T-Shirt with Southill Logo
- Plimsolls or Non-Marking Trainers
Children should bring their named PE kit into school at the start of each Term. We encourage you to keep your child’s PE kit in school so that it is available if there are any changes to the PE timetable. Kit can be taken home at half term for washing.
For outdoor work, track suits may be worn but are not a necessity. Verrucas should be covered during P.E. lessons. Earrings should not be worn. Long hair should be tied back.
