Southill Primary School

"A caring, family school"

School Parliament

Our School Parliament It meets every two weeks and is made up of two class representatives from Reception to Year 4.

The children are elected by their class and wear their School Parliament Badges with pride. The School Parliament gives the children a voice so that they are able to play a part in making decisions on certain aspects of school life.

Each term the councillors organise a fundraising event for the whole school. After discussion with their classes they decide what the money raised will be spent on. They also organise the fundraising for a national charity such as Children In Need or Comic Relief as well as raising money for the school. During the meetings, children also have the opportunity to bring any matters that are causing the children concern to the attention of the staff.

We are incredibly proud of our school council and thank them for their commitment.
