If you have queries or questions, regarding admissions including nursery places or general
information regarding school life, please can you contact Mrs Michaella Lattimore (our
Office Manager) in the first instance on southill@southillschool.co.uk or by phone or Class
Dojo.
If you have concerns or questions regarding curriculum, teaching and learning or behaviour,
then the first port of call is your child's class teacher either by Class Dojo or face to face. If
that does not resolve the issue then it can be escalated to the Head of School and lead at
Southill, Mrs Sonya Read at sread@southillschool.co.uk
Our Special Needs Co-ordinator and Assistant Head is Miss Chloe Bell and she can be
contacted at senco@derwentschool.co.uk She is SENCO for the federation and works
across both Derwent and Southill School sites. More information on Special Education
Needs can be found on this website on our Special Needs Report (Local Offer) page. In
addition we have a family engagement worker, Miss Kell who can support families and she
can be contacted on hkell@derwentschool.co.uk
Should you have any safeguarding concerns you would like to bring to our attention, please
contact the safeguarding team by e-mailing safeguarding@derwentschool.co.uk in the first
instance. The DSL is Mrs Barlow and the DDSL on site at Southill is Mrs Sonya Read with
Miss Bell, Mr Masterson and Miss Kell all DDSL trained and available when on site.
For any other more serious complaints or concerns, you can contact the executive
headteacher by emailing executivehead@southillschool.co.uk
If your complaint is not dealt with to your satisfaction then it should be forwarded to the
chair of governors, Mr Neil Parsons by emailing chairofgovernors@derwentschool.co.uk
